Frequently Asked Questions

  • A quick reference guide:

    • If performance, stability and agility is your goal the Nemesis surf ski is the best option, featuring a lower center of gravity and lower volume overall to make it more suitable for all paddlers seeking more stability without compromising on speed or performance. This now the only single surf ski we offer for production as it supersedes our previous surf ski models.

    • If you find a second hand Tomahawk for sale then it would be good to consider this surf surf ski if performance is entirely your thing, it is great for advanced paddlers. Some of these surf skis will have different cockpit set ups.

    • If you are looking at a second hand Raptor for sale then consider this if stability and ease of paddling are your main requirements then this may be best for you.

The Nemesis available in fixed length and adjustable. Based off our popular Tomahawk model this surf ski is designed for paddlers who crave stability without sacrificing speed. With a lower center of gravity and overall volume, this ski offers the perfect balance of stability and performance. Available in standard or deep seat for those who paddle less frequently or like the extra stability a deeper seat can provide. The Nemesis features more tail rocker for improved control in and out of the break, making it ideal for navigating rough waters. With arguably the tightest turning circle of any surf ski on the market.

Over five years of feedback from paddlers and our own testing we then set to work to design the latest model the Tomahawk. This ski, aimed at advanced paddlers has a more substantial bow line and a much fuller tail to allow it to punch through surf and heavy chop with even greater resistance to becoming ‘airborne’ or ‘stalling’ on the way in. The aggressive cockpit deflector keeps the water off your chest, and out of the seat and heel area very effectively. A greater curve through the fore section of the hull allows for a softer ride on cross chop and the increased ‘rocker’ improves surfing ability, handling in big surf and tight turning capability.

The Raptor was the first original model. Our aim was to create a dynamic design to not only be the fastest Surf Lifesaving Australia specification ski on the market, but also have unparalleled performance in and out of the surf break, through the choppy water and downwind.

  • Our Standard build surf skis are expertly engineered using a high-performance E-glass outer layer, a Soric structural core, and an inner skin of carbon Innegra. Key stress points are reinforced with additional carbon to enhance durability and impact resistance. These skis are designed to deliver exceptional strength, rigidity, and reliability—ideal for demanding surf conditions. Built by experienced marine and composites specialists, they’re purpose-built for performance and longevity.

Our Premium build surf skis take performance a step further. Crafted with a full carbon fiber outer shell and a lightweight yet robust PVC core, they are finished with a carbon Innegra inner skin and further reinforced with strategic carbon layering. This build delivers superior stiffness and resilience, making it the ideal choice for paddlers seeking maximum responsiveness, or those requiring enhanced structural integrity for heavier use. Each Premium ski is a testament to advanced composite engineering and precision craftsmanship.

  • The standard seat option is slightly narrow, locking you into your seat and fully connecting you to your craft.

The deep seat has a little more room either side of the hips, and is set slightly deeper in the hull. Recommended for paddlers who prioritise comfort, or someone with wider hips.

If you have any questions regarding seat options, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
